"Roihu drawings" is a new series of works made on paper in April 2025. They have been created in Helsinki, in my studio which takes place in Roihupelto-Roihuvuori area, in english blaze mountain-field.
I tried to catch the soul of this place with the fire of my blowtorch, the use of my hands and the different techniques used on these 50x50cm papers.
I have been thinking and reading about ancient forms of art, and I'm now trying to search for a vital way of producing artworks.
